Gretsch 6124 Single Anniversary guitar.
The owner of this guitar wanted to augment the single pickup to a dual pickup configuration. I’m not a fan on modifying vintage guitars but this guitar had already been modified with the addition of a Bigsby vibrato unit. The original “HiLoTron”pickups were generally considered to be a bit weak sounding so this was augmented with a “dog eared” P-90 in the neck position and a DeArmond Dynasonic at the bridge. The new wiring configuration had to accommodate the extra pickups with the addition of a volume control for each pickup and a master tone control (along with the original master volume). The pickup selector switch replaced the original tone selector switch.
